Is there a group of women that get together periodically that formed from your book or website that live in the Houston area?

    Hi Lynn,
Not specifically, but there is a national group for “sequencing” mothers, with a Houston chapter. By sequencing they mean moms who had careers before families. Quite a few of them are later moms and the others have some overlapping experience.
It’s called Mothers and More, and you can find info on the Houston chapter (or any other) through the national website: mothersandmore.org

In addition there is a group specifically for moms who have babies when they’re 35 or more – called Motherhoodlater and based in Long Island but with several other chapters (none in Houston yet – but they encourage start ups) and an active website: motherhoodlater.com

Another active women’s group in Houston that includes quite a few later moms is the Friends of Women’s Studies: http://www.friendsofwomen.org

    cheers,
    eg
